			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The OLA Super Conference 2011 Planning Committee would like to ask for your help in developing sessions for OLA Super Conference 2011! Submissions are now open for sessions in the 2011 Super Conference, scheduled to take place from February 2nd to 5th 2011, at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre.</p>

<p>The planning committee welcomes proposals of both sessions you would be willing to present, and simply ones that you would like to see. There is no limit to the number of proposals an individual can submit.</p>

<p>People expect the  information they want to be at their fingertips – anytime –  easily – and instantly. Libraries need to explore and experiment  with new mobile technologies and tools that will ensure they meet and  service  their users in this new reality.</p>
<p>Don’t miss this chance to spend a day with leading thinkers and practitioners who are going mobile. It will be an opportunity to gain  new insights and to reflect on how your institution is preparing to meet   the exciting opportunities and new challenges of the mobile environment.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold;">Keynote Speaker:  Jason Griffey </span></p>

Jason Griffey</a> is the Head of Library Information Technology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His latest  book, <a href="http://www.accessola.com/store/bins/product_page.asp?prd_id=13414"><span style="font-style: italic;">Mobile Technology and Libraries</span></a>,  part of Neal-Schuman&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="http://www.neal-schuman.com/bdetail.php?isbn=9781555707149" target="_blank">The  Tech Set</a>&#8220;, and his previous book, <a href="http://www.accessola.com/store/bins/product_page.asp?prd_id=12311"><span style="font-style: italic;">Library Blogging</span></a>, with Karen A. Coombs, are both available through  the <a href="http://www.accessola.com/store" target="_blank">OLAStore</a>.  You can find his online presentations and representations at <a href="http://www.jasongriffey.net/" target="_blank">www.jasongriffey.net</a>.</p>
<p>Jason is the author of the <a href="http://bit.ly/perpetualbeta" target="_blank">American Libraries Perpetual Beta blog</a>, and is also a columnist for the <a href="http://www.ts.ala.org/blogs/jason-griffey" target="_blank">ALA TechSource blog</a>. Jason was named one of Library Journal&#8217;s Movers &amp; Shakers in 2009,  and is regularly invited to speak on libraries, the social economy, mobile  technology, and other technology related issues.</div>

<p>Code4Lib North is a local chapter of the <a href="http://code4lib.org/">Code4Lib</a> community of people involved in libraries and technology. The annual Code4Lib conference began in 2006.  Since then, several local chapters have started in different regions of the United States, as well as in Japan, Hungary, and the Netherlands.  This is the first Canadian chapter meeting. Code4Lib North is meant to bring together librarians, programmers,  and other interested people from Ontario, Quebec, New York, Vermont, and  nearby areas.</p>
